After a 5-1 loss to the Boston Bruins in Game 1, Ryan Reaves says the Toronto Maple Leafs are holding onto one message in the locker room. Don't worry about the past.

There's no hiding it. The Leafs were outclassed by the Bruins on Saturday night. The Leafs couldn't score enough goals to keep up with the Bruins and they couldn't keep the puck out of their net. It was about as bad as Game 1 could have gone for Toronto.
In Game 1, only Reaves and his teammates, Connor Dewar and David Kampf, managed to get past Jeremy Swayman, while the other three lines failed to deliver in a crucial match.
The mindset in the Leafs' locker room was revealed by Reaves on Sunday.
"Almost the hakuna matata kind of motto. You can't be worried about what happened in the past. You just got to look forward.

We've done it all year. We've had stretches where we couldn't win a couple games, we bounced back and strung a lot together. We've had games where we got absolutely waxed and came back the next day really strong. So, I'm not worried about the bounce back. It's going to be there tomorrow. We've just got to put it on the ice."

The Dewar-Kampf-Reaves combo scored the only goal for the Leafs, performing well in the game and doing their best to keep their team alive and pushing play towards the Bruins' zone.
All three players finished an even 0+/- in the contest, which is impressive when you consider how many goals the Bruins scored.
Reaves has more than 100 games of playoff experience, which is an asset to the Leafs. Hopefully his idea of letting go of the past and focusing on the future is the right message for the Leafs ahead of an all-important Game 2 matchup tonight.
